Product tour
See the whole platform,
one ledger at a time.
Walk through every Vinance module with the same sample company, from the dashboard down to the balance sheet. Ten areas, one set of books, and figures that tie out end to end.
The whole platform, in order
Ten modules. One set of books.
Follow Meridian Trading Co., a small trading and services business, through every part of Vinance. Each module below posts to the same ledger, so sales, purchases, banking, and payroll are never out of step. The screens are illustrative recreations of the app; the numbers are consistent from the dashboard down to the balance sheet.
Dashboard
Open the app and the business is already summarised.
The home screen reads revenue with its month-over-month change, outstanding receivables with the overdue portion, expenses, and the bills coming due, all straight off the ledger. Nothing is a stale export or a number someone pasted in last week. When Meridian sends a new invoice or records a payment, these tiles move the moment it happens.
- Revenue tile with month-over-month movement
- Outstanding receivables, with the overdue amount called out
- Expenses and upcoming bills, read live from posted entries
Invoicing & sales
Quote it, send it, and the books already know.
Turn an estimate into a branded invoice in one click, issue credit notes against it, and watch receivables aging update as payments land. Because every invoice posts a balanced journal as it is sent, a paid invoice is a ledger entry, not a note to record the deposit later. Recurring invoices for retainers are in beta, and online payments are planned.
- Estimates that convert to invoices without retyping
- Credit notes that post against the original invoice
- Live receivables aging, from current through 90+ days
INVOICE #1042
Bills & purchases
Money leaves the business on purpose, not by surprise.
Raise purchase orders, record what actually arrives as goods receipts, and match the supplier bill against both before it is paid. That 3-way match, with tolerances you set, catches short deliveries and overbilling before they hit the books. Each bill posts to payables and, where relevant, into inventory. Scheduled payment runs are in early access.
- 3-way matching: purchase order, goods receipt, and bill
- Vendor credits and bill payments that post to payables
- Scheduled payment runs, in early access
BILL #2041
Banking & reconciliation
The reconciliation workspace does the tedious part of the month.
Import statements as CSV, Excel, or PDF, with automatic header detection, and Vinance scores every line against the ledger on amount, date, and reference. Exact matches confirm in bulk; the rest arrive as suggestions you accept or correct. When the period ties out, sign off to seal the reconciliation with a tamper-evident SHA-256 hash and lock the period. Bank feeds and coding rules are in early access.
- Statement import from CSV, Excel, or PDF with header auto-detection
- Scored match suggestions, with bulk confirm for exact matches
- Sign-off that seals the reconciliation and locks the period
Accounting & ledger
Real double-entry underneath, plain language on top.
Vinance keeps a full chart of accounts and posts a balanced journal for every invoice, bill, payment, and pay run. Your balances are consequences of entries, never typed over, so the statements you read always tie back to the transactions that produced them.
- A complete chart of accounts you can extend
- A balanced journal behind every document, viewable in a click
- Manual journals, accruals, and period locks when you need them
Every document posts a balanced entry. Nothing here was typed by hand.
Inventory
Stock that knows what it is worth, and what it cost.
Track items across warehouses on a weighted-average-cost movement ledger, and adjust stock with a reason attached. Valuation flows onto the balance sheet, and when you sell, the units draw down into cost of goods sold automatically, so margin is real rather than estimated. Landed-cost allocation onto received units is in early access.
- Per-warehouse stock on a weighted-average-cost ledger
- Stock adjustments with an audit trail
- Valuation that posts to the balance sheet and into COGS
Payroll
Pay the team, and the books already know.
Run a pay cycle and produce payslips, now in beta. Approving the run posts the wages, the tax and pension liabilities, and the employer cost as one journal, so payroll is part of the ledger rather than a spreadsheet you reconcile after the fact. Each run can also produce the file your bank actually pays from: US ACH, UAE and Saudi Arabia WPS SIF, or SEPA.
- Pay runs and payslips for salaried and hourly staff, in beta
- Bank payment files: ACH, WPS SIF, and SEPA
- Every run posts wages, liabilities, and employer cost to the ledger
Projects & time
Turn billable work into invoices without leaving the books.
Log time and costs against each project and see profitability build as entries post. When it is time to bill, the tracked work becomes an invoice on the same ledger, so a project is a first-class part of your accounts, not a side calculation. Projects and time tracking are in beta; per-project budgets are in early access.
- Time tracking and costs per project, in beta
- Billable work that converts straight into invoices
- Profitability by project, current and to date
Reports & dashboards
Statements built from the ledger, not typed into a slide.
Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and aging are all read live off the entries the moment you open them. There is no close-the-model step, because the model is the ledger. Slice by period, and by project, drill from the P&L and Account Transactions into the entries behind a figure, and export any of the 28 built-in reports to Excel with live formulas and accounting formats.
- 28 built-in reports plus a custom Report Builder
- Slice by period, and by project
- Every report exports to Excel with live formulas
Automation & rules
Write down the routine once, then stop doing it.
Reminder schedules and email alerts run today, in beta: chase overdue invoices on a cadence you set and get notified when the events you care about post. A deeper rules engine, covering bank-line coding, approval routing, low-stock reorders, and tax-return drafts, is in early access. Because it acts on the same ledger as everything else, one rule will reach across sales, banking, inventory, and tax without a brittle integration in between.
- Overdue-invoice reminder schedules, in beta
- Email alerts on the ledger events you choose, in beta
- Bank coding, approvals, and reorder rules, in early access
Multi-currency & tax
Invoice in any of 182 currencies with correct decimals, print ZATCA QR and UAE bilingual tax invoices, and draft returns for UK VAT, India GST, and Australia BAS.
Native Windows app
The same live books in a real window, with vinance:// deep links and a code-signed installer for x64 and ARM64. macOS and Linux are planned.
Bring your books across
Import from QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, Sage, Wave, FreshBooks, or any spreadsheet. Vinance plans the import and shows you exactly what it will create before it writes anything.
Frequently asked questions
Are these real screenshots of Vinance?
They are faithful illustrative recreations of the app, built so the numbers stay consistent across every module on the page. To use the real screens, explore a sample company.
Do I have to turn each module on separately?
No. Every module on this tour is part of one platform, free during early access, and pricing will always be per company, never per seat or per module. See pricing.
How do the modules stay in sync with each other?
They post to the same ledger. A paid invoice, a supplier bill, a pay run, and a stock movement are all journals against one chart of accounts, so there is no sync job between separate apps and nothing to reconcile between them.
Can I try the whole thing before switching?
Yes. Download Vinance free for Windows or open a seeded demo company in one click, then import your own books from QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, Sage, Wave, or FreshBooks when you are ready.
Which taxes and currencies does the tour cover?
Meridian trades from the UAE with 5% VAT in the examples, but the tax engine is multi-jurisdiction: you configure rates by country, region, and city, with compound tax and reverse charge, and draft returns for UK VAT, India GST, and Australia BAS. Invoicing works in 182 currencies. See multi-currency & tax.
Move your books off the spreadsheet.
Invoices to bank statements, payroll to financial statements. One platform with every module included, free during early access, on web and desktop.
